Sunrise on Hohe Kugel

A guided sunrise hike from the Walser village of Ebnit up to the Hohe Kugel. 

 

Experiencing a sunrise in the mountains is truly something special. The hike begins in the dark, by the light of headlamps, whilst everyone else is still asleep. Those who make it to the top are rewarded with an absolutely breathtaking panorama of the Vorarlberg and Swiss Rhine valleys and Lake Constance. 

On the descent, you can then enjoy a hearty meal at the Emser Hütte.

• When: every Friday, between 3.00 am and 4.00 am

• (depending on sunrise)

• Where: Gasthof Heumöser, Ebnit

• Duration: approx. 5 hours

• Distance: 9 km, 688 m ascent, 688 m descent

• Difficulty: moderate

• Participants: minimum 4 people; small groups welcome on request

• Price: € 60 per person
