To Hohe Kugel for sunrise

nrise hike up the Hohe Kugel is one of the most impressive mountain experiences in the Rhine Valley. Before daybreak, we set off from the mountain village of Ebnit and hike towards the summit by the light of our headlamps, surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of the early morning.

The darkness gives way only very slowly to the first colours of dawn, and our anticipation of the sunrise grows. Once we reach the summit of the Hohe Kugel, we witness a breathtaking natural spectacle: the sun rises, bathing the landscape in a special light. An unforgettable moment of wonder. It’s well worth getting up early.

On the descent, we’ll stop for a bite to eat at the Emser Hütte if you’d like, before hiking leisurely back to Ebnit.
