Alpkäseherstellung Alpe Nenzigast

Guided hike to Alpe Nenzigast and a visit to Peter’s alpine dairy

This guided tour to the last alpine dairy in the Klostertal valley combines an easy hike with an insight into traditional alpine cheese-making.

This hike invites young and old alike to experience alpine farming first-hand. Along the way, you’ll gain insights into the mature cultural landscape and its quiet, unique features. Once you arrive at the alp, a short guided tour of the dairy awaits, during which shepherd and dairyman Peter will explain the traditional process of making alpine cheese in an accessible way.
