Three-country tour:
Austria – Switzerland – Liechtenstein

A guided multi-day tour from Austria through Switzerland to the Principality of Liechtenstein.​​

We set off from the Montafon and hike from hut to hut. We’ll be staying in cosy double rooms. Every day brings a new landscape: rugged limestone cliffs, flowering alpine meadows, mountain passes with stunning views and, time and again, spectacular panoramic vistas of the Rätikon peaks. There’ll be plenty of time to enjoy nature, take photos and soak up the special atmosphere of the mountains.

This tour is aimed at anyone who enjoys spending several days exploring the Alps. As a state-certified hiking guide, I’ll accompany you, take care of the organisation and guide you safely through the Rätikon.

Day 1: From Gargellen to the Tilisuna Hut: After meeting at Bludenz railway station, we’ll travel together on the Montafonerbahn railway and by bus to Gargellen, the highest mountain village in the Montafon. After a quick equipment check, our hike begins.

​The route initially leads across alpine pastures, past the Untere and Obere Röbialpe. As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes more alpine. Via the Sarotlajoch and the Plasseggen Pass, we finally reach the Tilisuna Hut at 2,211 metres. Right next to the hut lies the picturesque Lake Tilisuna, a perfect spot to wind down the first day of hiking in a relaxed manner.

Day 2: Via Switzerland to the Lindauer Hut: After breakfast, we set off towards Switzerland. Our route takes us to the Carschinahütte. We then head back to Austria via the Drusator.

Along the way, we are treated to stunning views of the striking rock faces of the Rätikon. In the afternoon, we reach the Lindauer Hütte in the Gauertal. The hut is nestled amongst imposing peaks, and the sauna offers the ideal spot to recharge our batteries for the next day’s hike.

Day 3: Along the Three Towers to the Schesaplana Hut: Shortly after setting off, we cross the border into Switzerland once again. Our route takes us past the Three Towers, the Drusenfluh and the Kirchlispitzen.

Time and again, we are treated to impressive views down into the Gauertal valley and sweeping vistas across the Alps. In the afternoon, we reach the Schesaplana Hut, named after the highest peak in the Rätikon range. The stunning mountain scenery makes this evening a truly special experience.

Day 4: From the Schesaplana Hut to Malbun: On the final day, we set off towards Liechtenstein. Before long, a magnificent view of the Nenzinger Himmel opens up before we continue our hike to the Pfälzer Hut. From there, the route takes us to Malbun in Liechtenstein. Those who wish can take the cable car for a comfortable ride down the final stretch of the descent. We then travel back to Bludenz together by public transport.​
